KASI HALWA (Ash Gourd Halwa)
Kasi Halwa, also called as Poosanikkai Halwa in tamil is a traditional Indian dessert. When I first heard of it, I was very curious to try it out. I made it once when we were having guests the next day. But my husband started eating it and asked me to make something else for the guests next day😬.
The speciality of this halwa is its glossy transparent look. Made mainly with grated ash gourd, ghee, sugar and a few strands of saffron, this yields a really yummy dessert.
